How To Cure Yourself After Breaking Up With Your Partner

Being heartbroken is the most painful feeling ever especially if you had been together for a long time. Everyone know how it feels to say goodbye to the person that we are deeply in love with. Breaking up can distract our mood and change our personality drastically. Sometimes it feels like we’re helpless and the pain can never be cured.  Here are a few ways to cure your broken heart.

1. Don't hurt yourself

You can sob your eyes out, scream and yell as much as you want as long as you don’t hurt yourself or trying to attempt suicide. Find ways to release your pain such as find a quiet place to reflect yourself, listen to songs to let your emotions out and console yourself.

2. Cut out contact

Delete his/her contact, messages in your phone to keep your distance. This is to prevent you from calling, texting or emailing him/her. You also need to remove them from your social media. This is because to lower the risk of getting back into the relationship that might be toxic. You might also end up having a bigger war if you get back in contact and it’s not a good path to heal yourself.

3. Spend quality time with family and friends

Take this opportunity to spend more time with your family and friends because when you are in a relationship you had spent most of your time with your partner. Consider this as your healing process and share your problems with them. They are the closest person to us so they understand and sometimes know about you more than you do.

4. Do fun things

You can kill your time by doing fun things that can make you forget about the pain. Have fun with your friends by going out together, shopping for new clothing or plan for a trip. Do something that can make you feel good inside.

5. Enjoy being single

Don’t rush to get into a new relationship. Focus on the healing process and enjoy your life being single. Don’t bounce into another relationship too fast thinking that you can’t live without a girlfriend/boyfriend because it can just prolong the inevitable pain. For the time being, ask yourself about the type of relationship that you want before entering into a new relationship. Know your goals of being in a relationship whether it will take to a wedding or not as this can prevent you from having another heart break. Meet new people and start the relationship when you are ready for a serious one with someone who is sincere.
