ZALORA, Asia’s Online Fashion Destination, crowned the two winners of Make Me A ZALORA Model Cycle 3 (MMAZM) competition during the Grand Finale held in Manila, the Philippines last week. For a month long of running the search contest and receiving over 7500 entries from across six countries through the use of social media, 12 individuals were chosen as the finalist vying for the title.
The last leg of the competition was held over three days from 3rd to 5th October at the Philippines headquarters and a runway show at The Island, The Palace. On the first day, the finalists competed in the a headshot challenge shot by fashion photographer Miguel Alomajan and directed by ZALORA’s in-house creative team, which included two of the competition’s judges - Ashley Wong Cheng, Head of Production and Florence Song Oon Hui, Head Stylist both from ZALORA Malaysia Hub.
The following day, the contestants faced two other challenges to showcase their true talent in modelling which are the Photo and the Video editorials. Each finalist gave their best poses while having fun during the whole process. The competition was concluded with a runway challenge at the Grand Finale held at The Island at The Palace in Bonifacio Global City.
As ZALORA launches its latest campaign #whatsyourbasic, a celebration of individuality and the beauty of pairing through ZALORA Basics, the finalists walked the runway donning the everyday staples from the ZALORA Basics collection styled with everything and anything else available from the website.
Winners of the MMAZM Cycle 3 contest were chosen by a panel of judges consisted of Watson Tan, Founder of UpFront Models Singapore, Ashley Wong Cheng, Head of Production, Florence Song Oon Hui, Head Stylist both from ZALORA Malaysia Hub, Christopher Daguimol, ZALORA Group PR and Social Marketing Director, and Paulo Campos III, ZALORA Philippines founder, and CEO.
The crowned winners for this year’s MMAZM are Jeremiah Lisbo from the Philippines and Yunike Francesca from Hong Kong. Winning themselves a paid contract to be the Face of ZALORA in 2019, they will also subsequently sign on with Upfront Models, the Official Model Agency for MMAZM Cycle 3. The two winners also received a year’s worth of wardrobe items from ZALORA.
Guests who attended were also treated like a true model as Make Up For Ever gave an instant makeover on the beauty booth right before getting photos taken on a studio set up complete with beauty lights for an insta-worthy MMAZM post. Not only that, guests also were spoilt with many freebies such as the new phone cases which were designed exclusively for ZALORA from Casetify and weather-proof loots from Desigual.
