We’ll show you how you can get the look with these soft shades.

Delicate shades of pastels remain on-trend, especially for the summer season. We went to James Lubrica, Senior Makeup Artist at ZALORA Philippines, and asked him how he does this look, so you too can look just as gorg!

“Less is more when applying pastels,” Lubrica advises. “Always start with a safe amount first, then build up color.”

Slowly add a little more shadow as needed. “It is much safer to apply pastel colors this way. This will prevent you from having an overwhelming pack of color on your eyes.”

Timeless pastel hues are feminine yet elegant. “Classic pastel shades for me are soft pinks, such as dusty rose, and warm peaches,” Lubrica shares.

But don’t think that their softness limits what these soft shades can do. They can also transform into great nighttime looks. Trending pastel eyeshadows with shimmer are a gorgeous way to do this day-to-night look.

Their eggshell-soft hues, like blue, make them just right for the light of the sun, plus it also has a sophisticated effect that can certainly take you to happy hour.

As eyeshadows are what this trend is all about, you want to draw attention to your eyes. Just a hint of blush is enough to complement your eye makeup. “A very light amount of peach, or soft pink shades of blush or dusty rose will do,” Lubrica advises.

The use of primer is optional as Lubrica says that it depends on the consistency of your makeup. “Mostly, primer is used for powdery eyeshadows.” Mascara is also optional to highlight your eyes.

Finish off with a nude lipstick, or maybe a powder pink lip shade, to keep your eyes in the spotlight.
