Tips To Energize In The Morning (without Caffeine)

Feeling well-rested and energized when you wake up can seem next to impossible especially if you are a night owl. Every morning you may press the snooze button at least three times before dragging yourself out of bed. Perhaps you need a large cup of coffee in order to function before 8 AM.  Here are five simple but powerful tips that do not involve a double shot of espresso. 1.       Listen to music

Researchers found out that listening to music can make you happier, healthier and more productive in the morning. It can create peak emotions, which helps brain releases significant amounts of dopamine, a specific neurotransmitter that is produced in the brain and helps control the brain's reward and pleasure centers. The energizing tunes will pump you up and get you excited all the day. 

2.       Put your alarm out of reach

Pressing the snooze button actually makes it harder for you to wake up. To ensure you get up and out of bed at the time you intended, keep your alarm clock far from your bed. This will force you to physically get out of bed to turn it off.  This allow you to start the day feeling conscious and determined.

3.       Sunlight

The old proverb rise and shine exists for a reason where it signify that getting some sun first thing in the morning really helps you feel awake. Bright light from the sun, signals the body that it is time to wake up as the body decrease melatonin production, the hormone that induces sleep.

4.       Do exercise

Exercising is the best way to energize yourself in the morning. Even just five or ten minutes of physical exercise can make all the difference. Wear your sportswear and go for a run, morning walk or complete some easy yoga poses before work. When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins which gives you more energy and puts you in a better mood.

5.       Eat a healthy breakfast

Do not skip the most important meal of the day. Avoid eating food with unsaturated fat, magnesium and potassium because those food will make you feel sleepy again. Eating a small bowl of grain cereals with milk will be enough to give you the energy to face the day.
