ZALORAYA2019 Designers to Look Out For

With Eid Ul Fitr just about a month away, we are certain many of you are considering shopping for your perfect Eid attire. Another way to celebrate the holy month in style by our homegrown designers, from traditional wear to contemporary edge, these are the #ZALORAYA2019 designers we most definitely should put on our radar now. 



He started his career in fashion since 27 years ago and he never looked back ever since. This year, Rizalman Ibrahim came up with a new inspiration for his Raya collection taking the English Monarch fashion sense and consolidating it into a mesmerizing traditional wear design. 

2.    Jovian Mandagie


Bringing up the ‘Aloha’ theme, this well-known fashion designer, Dato Jovian Mandagie never fails to impressed us with his Raya collections. The inspiration behind this collection is the fantasy of seaside getaways water lapping on the sand and summery imaginings.

3.    LUBNA


LUBNA is a local brand which has a touch of ‘Modest with a Modern Twist’ in every of their collection. This year, LUBNA inspired by the high-spirited and joy for youth. LUBNA also introduced a new line called Lubna Curve to cater women from size 2XL to 5XL. They also include matching Couple Looks, you surely would not want to miss this!



Ezzati Amira showcased her new Raya collection exclusively for this year’s ZALORAYA2019 with chic and sophisticated traditional Malaysian clothes like she always does. She switched things up with a modern take on the classic design like kimono sleeves into a Baju Kurung Kedah and many other interesting combination that would make you be the spotlight at every open house!


5.    AFIQ M


 Combining traditional and modern silhouettes is a tricky thing when it comes to Raya clothes. On one hand, you want to keep the Malay tradition going but on the other, you want to be up-to-date on the current trend. Fret not, AFIQ M brings you his latest mesmerizing Raya collection come to resque. 


6.    ZALIA


Zalia is back with its own Raya collection which builds on a fantasy of a fairy queen who lives in a mythical and whimsical forest. Takes inspiration from the natural elements that are found in forests like flowers and foliage which are imprinted on each piece of the collection.




The local fashion designer has been experimenting with concepts for every Raya collection and he is doing the same this year. This time, he is all about Spanish telenovelas. To add more of the Spanish feel, each were different in their own way starting with the spicyness of colours and elements. To be fair, his collection lights up your Raya outfits with variety of colours, boldness yet appropriate and comfortable.
