Water and hydration is no more unfamiliar to us. If you drink less amount of water that is needed by your body, it will result to dehydration or the body starts to “dry up”. And because water is crucial to many bodily functions, dehydration can be dangerous. The consequences of severe dehydration can lead to a number of severe complications, including kidney failures, swelling in the brain and even can cause a death. So, drink enough water every day is important for overall good health because water helps in circulation, absorption, digestion and secretion. The skin is an organ, made up of many cells, and skin cells, like any other cell in the body consist of water. Without an adequate water intake, the organs will not function properly. Experts suggest that everyone needs to drink at least 8 glasses per day to help the body to function at their best.

Drinking enough water will make your precious skin hydrated and at the same time it can promote collagen production, where the benefits of collagen are to help the skin vibrant and glowing skin. The unfortunate truth about drinking water and skin is, the water intake alone is not enough to reduce the wrinkles or the effects of aging. The process is also associated with your genes, hormones, lifestyle, diet, choice of skincare products and many more. To reduce the effect of aging, we suggest you to wear sun protection or sunscreen every day,  which helps you to protect against the UVA damage. Dr. David Lortscher, MD, dermatologist, says “Therefore, while hydration is important, it simply isn’t the end-all be-all miracle to achieving perfect skin’’.
