We can never run away from the responsibilities in our life which can be pretty much stressful to deal with. It does not matter whether you are climbing up the career ladder, just had a baby, moving homes, all those things that piles up in our life make us feel a little overwhelmed. There is a limit to everything and it is not a bad thing to do things that can help you release those stress away. Check out the simple things you can do to keep yourself sane.
- Have ‘me’ time
Yes, ‘me’ time is very important so that you can still remain your true self. Being away from people and being in your own zone definitely helps you get things together. Stay at home, take a deep breath and catch up on your reading or even watch the reruns of your favourite show. Not only that, there is nothing wrong in spending a day out all by yourself as it gives you that sense of independence and giving you all the control you need.
2.Break some sweat
Although it can be a bit difficult to squeeze some exercise into your hectic life, do break some sweat everyday. Find ways where you can break some sweat to help bring up your energy level.
Working yourself into exhaustion is not something anyone would want but instead of feeling down about it, treat yourself at the end of the month or anytime you need that quick pick me up. Go treat yourself to a nice meal in your favourite café, buy new clothing or catch that blockbuster movie hitting the cinemas. Just make sure you do not overspend.
4.Declutter your home
Do you feel uneasy when the place you go home every day is in a mess? Well, decluttering it will surely make you feel better and have a place where you can relax after a long day. Start from one area to the next slowly and you will be satisfied with how organized your home looks at the end of the day.
This is non-negotiable as you definitely need ample amount of sleep to recharge your mind and body. You feel cranky and tired if you sacrifice your sleep for the sake of the things happening in your life. You still need to take good care of your own self to function well.
