First opening their doors in 1978, they now have over 250 stores in the UK and a further 154 stores internationally, across 31 countries, with boutiques in China and Japan. America is also getting a healthy dose of Topman love, with stores in L.A., Vegas and New York as well, boasting their second biggest store, positioned on Fifth Avenue.

TOPMAN has always been at the forefront of the London fashion scene and is the only high-street brand to show at London Collections Men — of which it played a major part in creating — with the TOPMAN DESIGN collection. TOPMAN DESIGN was first shown on schedule in 2005 during London Fashion Week as the only Menswear event — a part of MAN. In 2009 it became a show in its own right as Menswear was given one dedicated day — historically the last day of London Fashion Week. TOPMAN DESIGN is now in its 10th year and is one of the most innovative and talked about shows at London Collections Men.
In 2009 the BFC created NEWGEN MEN and TOPMAN came on board as title sponsor. Previous winners include, Christopher Raeburn, Christopher Shannon, James Long, JW Anderson, Craig Green, Katie Eary, Lou Dalton, Sibling, Matthew Miller, Agi & Sam, Astrid Andersen and Shaun Samson.
