Summer Beauty

“It’s getting hot in here, so take off all your clothes”. No, don’t really, but as Nelly sung back in 2009, the Summer really can get rather hot and sticky, and with that comes the issue of makeup. Makeup literally melting off of your face — not a good look ladies. As an alternative, we look to highlight our features without coating them in unnecessary goop. Instead, creating a healthy sheen of summer happiness which will leave your face glowing.

Forget your normal heavy textured base, instead apply a hydrating mask the night before, and then in the morning, apply a light moisturiser with added SPF. This will seal in all the nourishing vitamins your face received the night before.

Lightly dab on a highlighter to your cheekbones and under your eyebrows to create more definition, and finish with a swish of bronzer onto each cheek. Finally complete your look with a light coating of waterproof mascara and SPF balm on the lips.

Humid air = frizz-prone strands. Although we encourage you to embrace your natural hair, (blow-dried hair won’t last five minutes in the humidity.) we understand that frizz isn’t cool. Control the frizz with a mousse or spray that not only fixes the problem areas but also moisturises and defends them from the sun. Two birds, one stone.
